About Jenni...

Following an Applied Arts degree, Jenni Wilson founded Jenni Wilson Jewellery in late 1999, and quickly established a lively and witty brand that appealed to a broad cross section of people.

Based for 8 years in Birmingham’s vibrant Jewellery Quarter the business grew and the work was supplied to over 80 retail outlets and galleries across the UK and abroad, and shown at a number of retail craft shows including Chelsea Craft Fair, Origin and the Contemporary Craft Fair.  The jewellery became popular with a large following of customers interested in its humorous, yet elegantly wearable appearance.

Throughout the years, inspiration has come from many aspects of everyday life.  Jenni enjoys translating recognisable imagery into pieces of jewellery that appeal to the individual for all sorts of personal reasons.  The original and largest range was the washing range with smaller collections based on cooking, paper chain people, ransom notes, birds on a wire, dressmaking and mid-century style being added over the years.  These can all be seen in the collections section of the website.

In 2008, Jenni moved from the Jewellery Quarter and for the next few years split her time between bringing up her two children, working on a freelance basis for talented jeweller, the late and great Nick Hubbard www.nickhubbardjewellery.co.ukand designing and producing a range of incentive charms for salespeople working for a luxury skincare brand.

In more recent years, Jenni has returned to making her own unique ranges of jewellery from her Staffordshire workshop, and loves the balance of self-employment and family life.  She is continually developing new pieces and her latest 'everyday' charm designs are available for purchase directly through the website shop.  These collectable charms allow the wearer to choose interchangeable charms to reflect aspects of their own life story, and many can be further personalised.  In addition, working on individual commissions is a key element of her current practice, a great advantage of dealing directly with the designer-maker.  Being a small company, Jenni can offer a friendly service working with you to create something unique and exclusive.  Enjoy browsing the website and if you have any questions at all, please just ask!
